Management and coordination with multi-discipline professionals, client agency, landscape staff, for a new entrance, garden and streetscape for a new Hospital addition and flood protection wall. Included construction documents and specifications for landscape planting plans, greenroof plantscape and NYCDPR Street Tree Planting Permit. Include coordination with architects, engineers, flood consultants and client agencies.

Atlantic Avenue Streetscape and Safety Improvements  Brooklyn, NY

Landscape design and Arborist services for a pedestrian safety improvement and streetscape enhancement project on 1.5 mile, 25 block, stretch of Atlantic Avenue. Responsibilities included coordination with the Prime Engineer, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCDPR and the LIRR. The project included field inventory, interim reports, plans, specifications, cost estimate, Photolog Tree Inventory Report and Hardware Report. Improvements include structural soil, shrubs, street trees and new raised plant beds over the Atlantic Avenue LIRR median.

East River Waterfront Park East River                                                                   Manhattan, NY

On-site construction administration, shop drawing review & approvals, material approvals, contractor observation, coordination with lead architect, landscape contractors, stone quarry suppliers and fabricators.  Quality assurance & coordination review of construction documents, specification and material research for a public promenade on the East River in Lower Manhattan, replacing derelict parking lots and neglected paving with raised planting beds, salt tolerant water side plants, custom concrete and wood benches and tables, dog run and custom concrete pavers.

Croton Water Treatment Plant – Landscape                                                      Bronx, NY

Specification and material research coordination with large multi-discipline team and multi-agency client for a public enhancement project of a new water treatment facility. Construction administration; review and approval of shop drawings, materials (stone, soils, irrigation, plant materials, stone quarry suppliers, sub-grade materials) and installation methods, off-site quarry material selection and approval, off-site stone wall mockup and approvals, on-site observation, meeting notes of on-going construction project. Quality check for drawing and specification revisions. Including 9 acre green roof driving range, and three acre high security zone.

T.F.A.N.A. Arts Plaza                                                                                           Brooklyn, NY

Quality assurance & coordination review of construction documents, specification and material research, for a public plaza for a new theater near the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Includes a new dramatic plaza with porous concrete pavement, structural tree cells, custom steel fabricated benches and unique cable mesh vine curtain rising 60 feet above grade.

102 North End Avenue - Rooftop Landscape Enhancement                                   New York, NY

On-site construction administration, shop drawing review & approvals, material approvals, landscape material selection and approval, on-site contractor direction for material locations, contractor observation, meeting minutes and notes, coordination with lead architect, roofing contractors, landscape contractors, suppliers and fabricators. Review and acceptance of partial work. Inter office staff coordination, intra-disciplinary consultant coordination, for a LEED certified multi-million dollar renovation of existing hotel and rooftop. Includes new thin profile extensive landscape of lightweight materials not exceeding structural capability of existing roof structures.

Dreier Offerman Aquatic and Upland Habitat Construction                               Brooklyn, NY

Completion of construction documents, specifications and estimate for a tidal saltwater wetland habitat near Coney Island.

Mid-Cluster Playground in Fort Washington Park                                                Manhattan, NY

Design for a new “adventure” playground for an under-utilized former playground within Fort Washington Park. Proposed landscape plans include: a unique forest themed swing set, climbing rocks and ropes, adventure trail, spray shower feature with interactive water puddles and streamlets and a  challenging climbing play structure.

Hampshire House                                                                                                East Orange, NJ

Reconstruction & restoration of existing landscape gardens for a mid-rise residential building.  Researched plant material for a range of micro-climates, including moisture- and shade-tolerant plants.  Designed unique drainage system to alleviate excessive soil moisture.

Cherry Walk in historic Riverside Park                                                                  Manhattan, NY

Design of a new pedestrian and bicycle path situated between the Henry Hudson Parkway and the Hudson River. Completed layout, grading and construction details. Coordinated design approval with various City, State and Federal Agencies (NYC-DOT, NYS-DOT, Army Corp of Engrs.) Submissions to NYC Arts Commission and Comm. Bd. #9.

Historic Boundary Fence and Landscape Restoration, and Spray Shower in historic Owls Head Park   Bayridge, Brooklyn, NY

Restoration of historic former estate brick and steel property fence, deteriorated hillside landscape, new spray shower, and new entry gate modeled on former historic gates. This project required meetings with different special interest groups including: local community groups and user groups, The NYC Arts Commission. This project required coordination with in-house engineering and various construction and site details.

Design a new concrete skateboard park, involving research and community outreach for a specialized new use in historic Owl’s Head Park. This project required meetings with different special interest groups including: The NYC Arts Commission, local community groups and local user groups. This project required coordination with in-house engineering and various construction and site details.

121st Police Precinct                                                                                          Staten Island, NY

Review and evaluate site plans for a new NY Police Department Precinct building. Assessment of Preliminary Concept plans for a new building on a brownfield site. Provide written evaluation of proposed building siting, zoning compliance, proposed landscape and stormwater management plans and compliance with site related LEED Certification (Local Law 86) issues. Evaluation of compliance with NYPD stated goals and objectives.

Marcy Playground                            Brooklyn, NY

On-site construction administration (Resident Engineer) of the reconstruction of a four and one-half acre park, including ten handball courts, four basketball courts, one tennis court, ten pieces of play equipment and a softball field. Administered installation of new water service, drinking fountains, hose couplers and new storm drainage basins and lines, handball courts, asphalt pavements and play equipment. Construction administration including field measurement of installed materials, sketch documentation of materials, shop drawing approval, documentation of delivered asphalt, concrete, rebar & other materials, daily, weekly, monthly reports, partial payment requests, construction observation.
